Who is Radhe Jaggi?

Radhe Jaggi Vasudev (born in 1990), known publicly as Radhe Jaggi, is a Bharatanatyam Dancer by Profession who was introduced to the art form by her mother at an early age. She has most appreciated work with Spanda Dance Company. The age of Radhe Jaggi is 31 by 2021.

 

Radhe Jaggi Education

Radhe Jaggi earned a Diploma in Bharatnatyam from the Kalakshetra foundation. She went on rigorous training in Kalakshetra. She also holds a post-graduate Diploma in Arts Management from Dakshinchitra and has completed a Journalism and Business Leadership course at Harward Summer School.

After her education, she had extensively performed throughout Tamil Nadu, Bhopal, Bangalore and other states.

 

Radhe Jaggi's Achievements and Honours

Radhe Jaggi recently received the title of "Natya Kalai Arasi" from the Tamil Isai Sangam.

About Radhe's Family

Radhe Jaggi is the daughter of Jaggi Vasudev (also known as Sadhguru) and Vijaykumari (also known as Vijji). Both her mother and Father had spiritual experiences in their life.

Her Father, Sadhuru, is Yoga Guru and Meditator. She used to go with her Father Sadhguru for Yoga Events from the age of 4 years. Radhe's mother, Vijji, used to work in a Bank. Later she resigned from her job and started Meditational Yoga with her Husband. Radhe's mother Vijji Passed on 22nd January 1997 at a large gathering at the Isha Foundation.

 

Radhe Jaggi got married to Sandeep Narayan on 3rd September 2014. Sandeep Narayan is a Classical Vocalist based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Early Life

When Radhe was 3-4 years old, she used to go with her Father to their yoga events. As Sadhguru needs to travel on a regular basis, Radhe is always with them. She has met more than thousands of peoples in her childhood with her Father. By spending time with her Father, she has become keen on Nature and Art.

Radhe Jaggi has not any restriction about her life choices by Sadhguru. Sadhguru just wanted to teach her primary education. When she has done her primary education, Sadhguru enrolled her to Dancing Class as she loves Dancing. The relation between Sadhguru and Radhe Jaggi is very Friendly and Blissful. She saw a friend in her Father.

After that, She joined Diploma in Bharatnatyam in Kalakshetra Foundation based in Chennai, where she learned the basics of Bharatnatyam under the guidance of Leela Samson. Leela Samsun was positioned as Director of Kalakshetra Foundation. This place shaped so much of who she was today as a Dancer. She spends four years Learning in Kalakshetra. Meanwhile, after completing her Diploma, Radhe Joined Dakshinachitra for Diploma in Arts Management. Later she completed a course in Journalism and Business Leadership at Harward Summer School, Cambridge, USA.

Radhe Jaggi Joined Spanda Dance Company by being an accomplished disciple of Leela Samson. She practiced intensively to go deeper in the Art of Bharatnatyam. Radhe has performed widely throughout Tamil Nadu as well as in Bhopal, Bangalore and other places outside the state.

She visited the USA for the first time in June 2012 as a part of the Isha Utsav Festival. She also performed for Various events in many countries. She travelled to Korea as part of an InKo Centre initiative with the performance theatre group "Tuida". She stayed and worked in Korea as part of a collaboration between Indian and Korean artists on the subject of "Bahuchara Mata — The Third Sex", culminating at the end of three weeks to a performance at the Gwanju Art Festival.

Radhe was invited to perform fundraising events in Penang and Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, in September 2013. The following month of October (2013), she performed at Fitwilliam College, Cambridge University, Cambridge. She was invited by Member of Parliament(UK) Keith Vaz to perform for an invited audience at the House of Commons, Westminster Abbey, London. Between all these busy schedules, she also has a love for Pets. She had a Pair of Pugs. She mentioned one of the names as Pugly(as per the Instagram story on 13th March 2013 ).

In around 2013, She has met Sandeep Narayan, who is a Classical Vocalist based in Chennai. They had performed many events together on the same stage. The bonding between them has turned into marriage. Sadhguru was also happy with their daughter. Radhe Jaggi got married to Sandeep on 3rd September 2014. Radhe and her Husband Sandeep performed many same Event Performances.

Radhe brings to her practice and performance an aesthetic and quiet grace that is subtle yet enthusiastic. Her style depends on her understanding of movement and expression obtained through her study with her teachers as well as through years of study and practice of yoga. Radhe desires to continue the tradition of the great Rukmini Devi Arundale by striving to bring a compound of rich abhinaya and crisp adavus to her performances.

On 11th December 2016, Radhe and her friend Sudarshini got Awards from Shri Krishna Gana Sabha. They got this award together for the same performance. In those days, she visited many countries with her husband, Sandeep, for their Performances.

On 15th October 2017, Radhe Jaggi has performed at Pearl Studios in Manhatten, USA, with her teacher and part of a group of six highly accomplished Dancers. Radhe is also a part of this group. The performance was organized by Spanda Dance Company. They performed a "Nadi" on that day, a production presented by Leela Samson.

23rd December 2017 can say to be the happiest day for both Radhe and her Husband, Sandeep. She had received the "Natya Ratna" Award from Trinity Fine Arts, and Sandeep received the "Isai Arasur" Award on that day. The Function was held in Chennai by Trinity Fine Arts.

On 7th July 2020, In the period of Covid-19, Akila Krishnamurthy took an interview of Radhe Jaggi Live on Instagram.

After a long time of the Covid-19 ban on Social Events, before the Day of Mahashivratri at Isha Yoga Center, She Performed a live program for the "Yaksha 2021" Event.
